Hello, I’m Maggie

A woman with short brown hair, red lipstick, wearing a maroon t-shirt, holding a camera, smiling, against a plain light-colored wall.

Over the years, I've been fortunate to document and support countless inspiring and powerful women in various birth settings.

I hold each experience in deep appreciation and honor.

This diverse and profound range of experiences in the world of childbirth, coupled with my training as a midwife’s assistant, has equipped me with a unique understanding of the birthing journey. I support all types of birth environments, including hospital, high-risk, homebirth, birth center, natural hospital births, inductions, and trauma-informed care.

Additionally, I have experience with various birthing techniques and philosophies, including Hypnobirthing, Birthing from Withing, Lamaze, Bradley, and Hypnobabies.

No matter your chosen path, I would be thrilled to help guide you toward your ideal birth experience.

I cannot stress this enough, HIRE MAGGIE.
I had my first homebirth after an extremely traumatic birth experience with my first child, and knew I wanted a doula. When I let my midwife practice know she was going to be my doula, they were very happy, as they have worked with her many times before. When I found Maggie I also saw she did photos, and to me this was perfect. I could only imagine birthing your baby was like your wedding day, or something other huge life changing event: you won't remember the tiny details, there's too much going on. So not only can she support your labor, she can capture the moments you might forget even happened.

She is a soft whisper of encouraging words. She is a hand on your back in the EXACT right spot for counterpressure. She is a plate of snacks after your baby is born and remember that you love food (seriously, she disappeared into my kitchen and resurfaced with the most perfect plate of tiny snacks that I could manage to eat while in post-labor la-la land) . She's just like your most supportive friend who is there to let you know that this INTENSELY difficult thing you’re doing is doable.

I had Maggie as my doula and photographer for the birth of my second daughter in April. She was wonderful throughout pregnancy, always very responsive to my texts and I never felt like a bother. I chose to add on maternity and newborn photos as well which was convenient for scheduling. She took beautiful maternity photos- they are some of my favorite photos of myself.

I had a false alarm of labor, a breech baby, and a long induction and Maggie was there through it all! She was encouraging during labor and helped me feel ok with my birth plan not going at all like I had envisioned. I believe she went above and beyond for support the entire time. All my photos are gorgeous, I don't know how she managed to take them all in between supporting me but I am so glad she did.

I can't sing Maggie's praises enough.

A study published in The Journal of Perinatal Education found that the presence of a doula can decrease anxiety and increase feelings of empowerment and control over the birth process. Knowing that they have someone dedicated to their well-being helps mothers feel more in control and reduces overall stress levels. No matter what birth you plan or have: home, birth center, midwife, OB, vaginal, VBAC or a C-section - I am here for you.
